EDUCATION AT THE MUSEUM OF FLIGHT

The Museum of Flight, 2024–2026
Scope | Educational Activity Development

The Museum of Flight serves nearly 50,000 K–12 students each year through a variety of individual and school group programs. I work closely with the Education department to design engaging experiences that help learners find their passion,  deepen their interest, and prepare  for a career in STEM.

Explorer’s Guide to the Space Gallery

I worked with Museum educators to structure and design a Museum exploration workbook for Kent School District, and create the accompanying workshop presentation and data sheets. Explorations are self-guided tours designed for students to complete during a field trip. The experience includes an activity booklet guided by district curriculum and a hands-on workshop.

Alaska Airlines Aerospace Education Center (AAAEC)

The AAAEC is a space designed for learners to explore what pathways are available for a career in aerospace. In 2025, I partnered with the Education team on a initiative to celebrate different cultural holidays in the space. Each month, I created a short exhibit featuring both iconic historical figures and modern-day trailblazers, while exploring a variety of inspiring stories.

Family Workshops

Family Workshops are activities, crafts, or learning experiences that families can complete together to enhance their experience at the Museum. As a part of the curriculum development process, I design and test activities and accompanying instructions that explore temporary exhibits, school curriculum, and stories from the Museum.

Aeronautical Science Pathway: Alumni Network

Aeronautical Science Pathway is a program for high school juniors and seniors interested in aviation careers. As a celebration of its 10 year anniversary, the program established an alumni network and hosted an anniversary event. I created the branding for the event as well as a challenge coin gift for those joining the network.
